Review: Mini Micro Scooter

Initial thoughts: It seems to me that almost every child has a scooter so when we were offered one for Piran to try out I was keen to see what he would think of it. The Mini Micro Scooter is for age 3-5 years but Piran is tall so I thoought it would be okay.

We liked: It was very easy for me to put together straight out of the box. Piran loves it and can easily go around the house. We have not taken it outside yet as I want him to get used to riding it and be a bit more confident before he tried on harder ground. I am impressed at his balance but at the moment he is pushing more than scooting but that will come with confidence I am sure. He loves watching me whizz around on it.

We didn't like: The instructions are pictures showing you what you should and shouldn't do on the scooter. I don't really like this as a concept as I couldn't be sure I understood exactly what the pictures were saying, confirmation in writing would have made things clearer.

Overall: The scooter seems well made and I see them everywhere which would have encouraged me to purchase them. The scooter is light which will help when I will invariably need to carry it at some point. Piran is a definite fan and keeps calling it his 'bike'.

Further information: The full range of scooters can be seen on the Micro Scooters website. There is a very nifty Mini Micro seat and bar that we will be able to get for Kate in six months or so time so she can use the scooter as a ride on too. Although whether Piran will let her is another matter. The Mini Micro Scooter RRP is £49.95.

Disclaimer: We were sent a Mini Micro Scooter free of charge for the purpose of this review.
