Early evening walk

Yesterday Piran and I went for a nice long walk in the afternoon around Hayle. I am still in Cornwall and this town is where I grew up. I took some pictures as we went.

Hayle Harbour, North Quay
The mouth of Hayle Estuary
Lelant Church on the hill
Back towards Hayle
Hayle Viaduct
Lelant Church across the Estuary
St Ives in the distance
Hayle Estuary
Sand dunes on the cliff above North Quay
Porth Kidney Sands
The start of Hayle's '3 miles of Golden Sands towards Godrevy (the lighthouse is there in the haze!)
The pushchair!
My favourite person in my favourite place!
Hayle Estuary inland from King George's Walk
Looking back along the walk, the sun has almost gone!

How wonderful to be home and by the sea. I love being beside the sea, it is so comforting even in winter. The light in cornwall is so much better than anywhere else in the UK. I hope you had a lovley walk.

Gorgeous pictures - and looks like Piran is enjoying seeing Mummy's ;homeland' :)

Gorgeous! What a lovely place for you to have grown up! Are you ever tempted to move back there?

I love Cornwall. I dream of living by the sea one day... *sigh*
